Yard Manager
Location: Medina, OH
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | Weekends as needed
Position Summary:
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Yard Manager to take charge of day-to-day yard operations, maintenance tasks, equipment organization, and support for shop and delivery functions. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working outdoors, can juggle a variety of responsibilities, and takes pride in keeping things running efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Yard & Facility Maintenance
- Empty office and shop trash regularly
- Scrub shop floor with floor scrubber
- Mow and trim entire property
- Spray for weeds around the lot
- Fill and maintain the oil furnace (transport oil from parts barn as needed)
- Perform oil changes and routine maintenance on company vehicles
Organization & Equipment Management:
- Manage and schedule pallet pile pickups
- Keep yard equipment (new and used) organized and accessible
- Organize and fill lean-to with seasonal equipment (mowers/snowplows)
- Maintain seasonal order in the barn (e.g., mower decks, snowplows)
- Store products on designated loading dock shelves
Deliveries & Logistics:
- Load/unload freight, trucks, and equipment
- Assist with mower deliveries and pickups
Shop Support:
- Wash and detail mowers daily
- Uncrate mowers and attachments
- Assemble and set up lawn mowers, zero-turns, push mowers, and yard tools
- Assemble Echo products and restock showroom
- Set up compact attachments (blades, tillers, brush hogs, etc.)
General Operations & Misc. Duties:
- Open/close barns and gates, set alarms
- Secure all trucks and equipment at end of day
- Pick up parts and supplies from vendors as needed
- Check freeze points in used equipment before winter
- Support team with additional tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Prior experience in yard operations, equipment maintenance, or shop work preferred
- Ability to operate equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, tractors, forklifts)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in outdoor conditions year-round
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently
